Here’s a cover of “Never Understand” originally done by The Jesus and Mary Chain. Saw Asobi Seksu the other night. Incredible show. I like their older stuff a bit better, but their 2011 album Fluorescence is also very good. The band just wrapped up their Fluorescence tour and are returning to the studio this winter. Drummer Larry Gordon told me they hope to be back on the road sometime next year. If you get the chance to see them, DO IT.

An unattractive band makes it big. Refreshing! Givers’ “Meantime” is off their debut album In Light out October 10. The song makes up for the looks, as it should be, and the album should be fun to listen to. RAC and Bombay Bicycle Club have made some pretty cool remixes of this track that are definitely worth a listen.
